Producer History:Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard is based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy. Caroline Lestimé has managed the estate since 1989, retaining her father’s name. The 12.5-hectare domaine has been organically certified since 2014 and follows biodynamic principles. It is known for precise, pure expressions of Chassagne’s varied terroirs in both white and red wines.

Wine Introduction:Cuvée L'Estimée is a village-level Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from around six plots across the appellation (southeast-facing, stony-clay soils). The name alludes to the Lestimé family branch and means “the respected lady.” Fully destemmed, fermented with ambient yeasts and aged 12–18 months in oak, it highlights the often-overlooked potential of Chassagne’s red wines with freshness and finesse.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Red cherry, cranberry and crunchy red berries with a light floral lift.Palate: Light and pure with bright red fruit, soft tannins and refreshing acidity.Finish: Breezy and approachable with a gentle tannic nibble and lingering fruit.
