Brewery History:Located at one of Japan’s highest elevations (approx. 940m) in Naraijuku, Nagano, Suginomori was founded in 1793 and revived in 2021. The “narai” series uses local spring water and premium Nagano rice for elegant, high-quality Junmai sake.
Sake Introduction:The Narai Kinmon Nishiki Junmai Daiginjo uses the rare “dream rice” Kinmon Nishiki (a Yamada Nishiki descendant grown only in limited areas of Nagano). It delivers refined sweetness and depth with a soft, lively texture – the flagship elegant expression of the brewery.
Tasting Notes:Nosing: Delicate and gorgeous with white peach, lychee, melon, banana and gentle rice aroma.Palate: Rounded and smooth with pleasant acidity and sweetness, ripe fruit, honey and rich umami, plus soft micro-bubbles.Finish: Clean, long and refreshing with lingering fruit and mineral notes.
