Description

This time, we’re using Takashima Omachi, the oldest sake rice originating from the Takashima region in Okayama Prefecture. What’s special about this batch is that it’s brewed using the rare Yamahai method, which adds a unique twist to our W series.

Takashima Omachi, the original Omachi rice, offers a delicate aroma reminiscent of muscat grapes and apples. The flavor unfolds gently, providing a smooth and embracing mouthfeel, with the rich depth characteristic of the Yamahai method seamlessly integrated.

**About W Series:**

The name "W" comes from a few playful inspirations: it represents the "W" for "laughter" from our self-proclaimed title of "the happiest brewery in Japan," the "W" for Watanabe Sake Brewery, and the "W" for "world" as we aim to share our sake globally. This series is crafted with uniform yeast, unfiltered raw sake, and a polished rice ratio, focusing on delivering the deep, rich flavors unique to Hida sake, all while striving for a clean, sweet profile.

Additionally, while the "W" series is classified as Junmai Daiginjo with a rice polishing ratio of 50%, all bottles are labeled as Junmai sake. Enjoy the journey of flavors!
