Distillery History:Amrut Distilleries was founded in 1948 in Bengaluru, India. It released India’s first single malt in 2004. The “Single Malts of India” series highlights regional character. Kurinji is named after the rare flower that blooms every 12 years.

Whisky Introduction:Amrut Kurinji is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. India’s tropical climate accelerates maturation, resulting in a fruity, floral and spicy profile that is smooth and approachable.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Floral and fruity with jasmine, honeysuckle, tropical mango, melon and gentle vanilla.Palate: Smooth and rounded with rich tropical fruit, honey, spice and light oak sweetness.Finish: Medium-long with lingering floral, spice and tropical fruit notes.
