This Bowmore 14 Year Old Bordeaux Wine Cask Finish is an Islay single malt whisky at 43% ABV, matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Bordeaux wine casks for a lighter, brighter profile. Non-chill filtered with natural color to preserve full texture. It displays a golden hue with reddish tint; the nose starts with peppery smoke, dry earthiness, bramble, black cherry, and lilies, evolving into red berries, honey, and subtle oak. The palate is velvety smooth and balanced, layering sweet red fruits like cherries, plums, berries, with salted caramel, tropical fruits, charred oak, campfire, and chocolate, subtle peaty smoke integrated.
