Distillery History:Bowmore was founded in 1779 on Islay and is the island’s oldest working distillery. Known for its moderate peat and maritime character, the 15 Year Old gains extra depth from an Oloroso sherry finish.

Whisky Introduction:The Bowmore 15 Year Old is matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 43%, it delivers rich dried fruit, chocolate and gentle peat – a more mature and sherried expression of the classic Bowmore style.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Rich with raisins, dark chocolate, honey, citrus and gentle smoke.Palate: Rounded and full – dried fruits, toffee, blackberry, spice and soft peat.Finish: Long and warm with lingering smoke, sherry sweetness and spice.
