This Bowmore 16 Year Old Ruby Port Cask Finish is an Islay single malt whisky at 43% ABV, matured in ex-Bourbon and European sherry casks, finished in Douro Valley Ruby Port casks for sweet brightness. Non-chill filtered with natural color to preserve full texture. It displays a golden hue with reddish tint; the nose starts with black cherries, red berries, milk chocolate, fudge cake, and salty smoke. The palate is velvety smooth and balanced, layering sweet red fruits like strawberries, cherries, plums, berries, with salted caramel, tropical fruits, charred oak, campfire, and chocolate, subtle peaty smoke integrated. The finish is short, carrying spices, salt, wood, red fruits, and warmth, ideal neat or on the rocks, showcasing Islay smoke fused with Port fruit depth.
