Producer History:Château Talbot, a 4th Growth in Saint-Julien, takes its name from the 15th-century English commander John Talbot. Acquired by the Cordier family in 1917, it is known for consistent, elegant wines with classic Saint-Julien gravel-driven minerality and structure.
Wine Introduction:The 2011 Château Talbot blends approx. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A well-balanced vintage showing concentrated dark fruits, spice and polished tannins with good ageing potential.
Tasting Notes:Aroma: Elegant with black cherry, cassis, cedar, tobacco and subtle earthy minerality.Palate: Medium to full-bodied – rich black fruits, spice, fine tannins and vibrant acidity.Finish: Long and clean with lingering black fruit, cigar box and mineral notes.
