Glendronach Distillery was established in 1826 by James Allardice in Forgue, Aberdeenshire, Scotland's Highland region. Acquired by William Teacher & Sons in 1960, it was mothballed from 1996 to 2002, modernized in 2005 by switching to steam-heated stills as Scotland's last. Purchased by Benriach Company in 2008, reviving the core range, and by Brown-Forman in 2016. This expression was distilled on May 15, 1992, bottled in November 2016, from single Oloroso sherry butt #96, yield 584 bottles, exclusive to Taiwan's Jhen Chang Wine & Spirits Shop.

At 57.2% ABV, it is non-chill filtered with natural color, no added coloring, cask strength, yield unknown, highly rare and exclusive to Taiwan market. It features a deep amber color; the nose is filled with deep Oloroso influences, mulling spices, candies, subtle nuts, and warming malt. The palate is full and smooth, with layers of spicy semisweet chocolate, red fruits like plums and red berries, dark chocolate-covered berries, accompanied by sherry oak spice and velvety texture. The finish is medium, carrying semisweet chocolate, spice, and mulling spices, exemplifying extended Oloroso maturation depth and balance.
