Kilchoman 20th Anniversary Cask Series Set of 4 Bottles

Kilchoman Distillery, founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills, is Islay's first new distillery in 124 years. As a farm distillery, it grows its own barley and uses local peat for smoking, emphasizing craftsmanship. The 20th Anniversary Cask Series celebrates this milestone with founder-selected aged casks, showcasing the distillery's evolution and mature style.

This series features four single malt whiskies, each a vatting of five selected casks, non-chill filtered, no added color, ABV around 50-52%.

18YO Ex-Bourbon (2006): Strong cask influence, rich flavors; nose full-bodied with butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak; palate robust, sweet caramel, toffee fruits, balanced peat smoke, subtle saltiness; finish long, lasting toffee, maritime smoke.

14YO Ex-Sherry (2011): Intense sherry impact, spicy; nose fresh spicy, bold BBQ smoke, black pepper, rich dried fruits; palate intense spices, dried dates, dark chocolate, herbal liquorice; finish long flavorful, lingering sweet spices, rich BBQ meats, integrated peat smoke.

15YO Ex-Sherry (2008/2009): Rounded rich, sherry sweetness; nose soft peppery spice, rich sherry, salty briny notes; palate rounded character, peppery kick, sherry-soaked dark fruits, gentle smokiness with savory briny; finish viscous warming, rich fruits, salty dark chocolate, lasting sweetness-smoke balance.

14YO Ex-Bourbon (2010): Soft full-bodied, citrus sweet; nose rich caramel, toffee, lemon zest, subtle peat smoke; palate lush smooth, sweet toffee, vanilla, lemon curd, light integrated peat smoke; finish long warming, lingering honey sweetness, crisp smoky citrus.
