Edition: 2023 limited release, 23,000 bottles globally, fully matured in PX sherry casks for 5+ years, 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, natural color.

Casks: 61 PX sherry hogsheads from Bodega José y Miguel Martin, Jerez. PX sherry, known for rich sweetness (raisins, caramel), offers sweeter, fuller flavors than Kilchoman’s usual Oloroso casks (medium-dry, cooked fruit notes).

Character: A 5-year maturation balances PX’s intense sweetness, preserving Kilchoman’s 50ppm peat and citrus freshness.

Tasting Notes

• Color: Deep amber with rich PX hues.
• Nose: Sweet raisins and figs, rounded peat smoke, licorice, and subtle citrus, with hints of coffee, sea salt, and red fruit (blackberry).
• Palate: Rich and rounded with brown sugar, malt sweetness, orange peel, citrus, dark chocolate, and bold PX sweetness. Peat smoke and maritime salinity add depth, with cinnamon and red fruit complexity.
• Finish: Medium-long, blending chocolate-covered raisins, oaky smoke, mixed spices, and lasting PX sweetness, clean and balanced.

Overall: Praised for harmonizing sweet PX fruitiness (raisins, caramel) with Kilchoman’s peaty, citrusy, maritime profile, delivering a balanced, complex whisky.
