Kilchoman Sauternes Cask 2024 Edition - 70cl/50%

This is a limited-edition release from May 2024, with an unspecified global production (earlier versions, such as the 2016 release, were limited to 6,000 bottles). This expression is fully matured in a combination of 2017 and 2018 first-fill (22%) and refill (78%) Sauternes casks for at least five years, bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with natural color. Kilchoman’s founder, Anthony Wills, carefully adjusted the ratio of first-fill to refill casks to balance the sweet Sauternes influence with the distillery’s signature peated character.

• Color: Golden yellow to pale amber.
• Nose: Creamy and smooth, with ripe fruits (apricot, peach), subtle sea salt, and peaty smoke, accompanied by floral notes and sweet roasted pineapple.
• Palate: Sweet and rounded, blending butterscotch, roasted pineapple, candied ginger, and tropical fruits, interwoven with peaty smoke, floral hints, and Islay’s characteristic maritime notes.
• Finish: Long and clean, with a balance of sweetness and smokiness, featuring rich fruitiness and subtle oaky spice.
