Distillery History:Mars Whisky is produced by Hombo Shuzo at Komagatake Distillery in Nagano. Established in 1985 and restarted in 2011, it is known for mountain climate maturation and diverse cask styles. The Lucky Cat series features the distillery’s resident cats, each release using distinctive casks.

Whisky Introduction:Mars The Lucky Cat Solla is the 11th edition in the series, inspired by a young chestnut-and-cream coloured male kitten named Solla. Blended from malt and grain whiskies matured in chestnut, Spanish oak and sherry casks, and bottled at 43%, it offers floral, honeyed and gently fruity character.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Fresh floral notes with mountain wildflowers, honey-kissed grain, green tea, citrus zest and subtle oak.Palate: Silky and soft – malty sweetness, white peach, green apple and delicate spice.Finish: Medium-long with lingering honey, floral and soft oak notes.
