Distillery History:Ben Nevis was founded in 1825 at the foot of Scotland’s highest mountain. Known for its full-bodied, malty and slightly smoky style, it is one of the few distilleries using water from the mountain. Signatory Vintage’s 100 Proof Edition highlights exceptional casks at natural strength.

Whisky Introduction:This Signatory Ben Nevis 2015 10 Year Old 100 Proof #80 was matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt and bottled at 57.1%. It combines Ben Nevis’ signature oily malt sweetness with rich dried fruits, chocolate and spice from the sherry cask.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Rich and sweet with raisins, dark chocolate, orange zest, toffee and gentle oak spice.Palate: Full and oily – sweet black fruits, dark chocolate, cinnamon, toasted nuts and malty sweetness.Finish: Long and warm with lingering dried fruit, chocolate and spice.
