The Tarot Series, first launched in November 2020, is the first batch of single malt whisky from the renovated Saburoumaru Distillery, featuring a heavy peat flavor with a phenol value of 50PPM. To date, five editions have been released: the first edition "The Fool," the second edition "The Magician," the third edition "The High Priestess," the fourth edition "The Empress," and this fifth edition "The Emperor."

Saburoumaru No. 4 Emperor uses 50ppm Highland peat malt from the Scottish Highlands for distillation. Compared to Saburoumaru No. 3 Empress, which uses Islay peat malt, No. 4 Emperor features a distinctive smoky flavor and woody tone typical of Highland peat malt, along with a robust body. Additionally, the lactic acid bacteria from the wooden fermentation tanks at Saburoumaru Distillery contribute to the Emperor's masculine body while still allowing for a rich and delicate fruitiness, adding a diverse flavor profile to Saburoumaru No. 4 Emperor.

Overall: The combination of Highland peat smokiness and the tart sweetness of fruits is stunning, fully embodying the commanding presence of the Emperor.
