Producer History:Suginomori Brewery was founded in 1793 in Narai-juku, Nagano Prefecture, one of Japan’s highest-altitude sake breweries (approx. 940–1,000 m). Closed in 2012, it was revived in 2021 as Suginomori Brewery. Using pure mountain water and local Shinshu rice, small tanks and year-round brewing, it pursues balanced yet expressive sakes under the “narai” series that showcase the natural beauty of the mountains.

Sake Introduction:Suginomori narai sankei is a junmai daiginjo-grade sake made from Yamae Nishiki (Sankei Nishiki), a new Nagano rice variety related to Miyama Nishiki and named “blessing from the Shinshu mountains.” Polishing ratio undisclosed, fermented with Kyokai No.7 yeast. It offers a pure, fresh profile with green notes and stream-like clarity – a refined expression of high-altitude mountain water and innovative local rice.
