Distillery History:Hakushu Distillery was established by Suntory in 1973 deep in the forests of the Southern Japanese Alps at the foot of Mt. Kaikomagatake. Known for its pure mountain water and cool climate, it produces fresh, lightly peated single malts with distinctive herbal notes. The 25 Year Old represents the pinnacle of the range.

Whisky Introduction:Hakushu 25 Year Old is a rare high-age core expression bottled at 43%. Made from carefully selected whiskies matured for over 25 years, it combines deeper sherry influence with Hakushu’s signature forest freshness and gentle smoke. Complex yet elegant, it is one of the most celebrated Japanese single malts at this age.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Plum, cigar humidor and caramel.Palate: Crème brûlée, sage, lavender and baked pineapple with creamy depth.Finish: Long, pleasantly smoked with a hint of cypress (hinoki).
