Description

Kilchoman Distillery, founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills, is Islay's first new distillery in 124 years. Situated on Rockside Farm, it uniquely grows, malts, distills, matures, and bottles its whisky on-site, using traditional floor malting and heavily peated barley for bold, smoky flavors. Emphasizing farm-to-bottle craftsmanship, it has earned global acclaim for innovative yet heritage-driven single malts.

This 9-year-old 15th Edition is a vatting of 54 ex-bourbon barrels from 2014 and 2015 barley harvests, fully produced on Islay, showcasing balanced peat, citrus, and malty notes in line with the distillery's self-sufficient ethos.

Nosing: Vanilla, tropical fruits, fresh hay and toasted oak with grassy notes and salted butter.Palate: Milk chocolate, salted caramel and fresh peat smoke with candied citrus fruits, lemon, ripe pear, and hints of white pepper.Finish: Lingering maritime peat smoke with fresh fruits and honied sweetness.
