Distillery history:Aberfeldy Distillery was founded by John Dewar & Sons in 1896 in Highland Perthshire and is closely associated with the Dewar’s blended whisky. It is now owned by Bacardi and is known for its honeyed Highland style.

Whisky notes:This is Aberfeldy 2014 Cask No. 5 from the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection. Distilled on 2 June 2014, it was matured for 12 years in a First-Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt and bottled in 2026. Only 649 bottles were produced, at 59.2% ABV.

Tasting notes:Nosing: honey, raisins, orange peel and dark chocolate, with toasted nuts.Palate: full and powerful, dried fruit, caramel, honey and almonds, with cinnamon spice.Finish: long and warming, with cocoa, honey and Oloroso oak.
