Aberlour A'bunadh Batch #80 - 70cl/61%

Distillery History:
Aberlour was founded in 1879 by James Fleming in Speyside, Scotland, and is known for its local spring water and richly sherried style. Now part of Pernod Ricard, the distillery launched A'bunadh in 2000. The Gaelic name means “the original,” honouring the founder. Matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at cask strength without chill filtration, it has become Aberlour’s most celebrated sherried expression.

Whisky Introduction:
A'bunadh Batch #80 was bottled in 2023 after exclusive maturation in Oloroso Sherry Butts. Released at natural cask strength of 61.0%, un-chill filtered and without added colour, each batch varies slightly while keeping the series’ hallmark of dried fruit, cocoa and baking spice. Batch #80 is a classic chapter in this long-running Speyside sherry-bomb series.

Tasting Notes:
Nosing: Seville orange marmalade, cocoa, sultanas and ginger, rich and sherried.
Palate: Prunes, allspice, nutmeg and flamed orange peel; full, spicy and sweet.
Finish: Spicy and sweet, with lingering cocoa and dried fruit.
