Distillery History:Aberlour was founded in 1826 in Speyside. Now part of Pernod Ricard, it is renowned for its sweet, fruity Speyside style. The A'Bunadh range, launched in 2000, celebrates sherry cask maturation at cask strength. The 2025 Sherry Cask Collection is a milestone limited series by Master Distiller Graeme Cruickshankhe, with three annual editions fully focused on premium sherry casks.

Whisky Introduction:The A'Bunadh Sherry Cask Collection Edition 1 is the debut release, matured and finished exclusively in first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Bottled at 56.2% without chill-filtration or added colour, it delivers an intense, rich sherry expression layered over Aberlour’s classic sweet fruit character – a true sherry bomb for enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Juicy red apples, blackberries, sultanas, caramel wafers, demerara sugar, cinnamon and stem ginger.Palate: Full-bodied – blackcurrant, spiced pears, vanilla toffee, sticky dates, raisins, oak spice and star anise.Finish: Long, syrupy and spiced with lingering dried fruit and gentle oak.
