Distillery History:Ardbeg was founded in 1815 on Islay and is renowned for its heavily peated, maritime style. The distillery’s annual Ardbeg Day releases often feature innovative cask finishes that blend Islay smoke with unique influences.

Whisky Introduction:Ardbeg Dolce is the 2026 Ardbeg Day limited edition, inspired by “La Dolce Vita”. Matured in sweet Sicilian Marsala wine casks and ex-bourbon barrels, it balances rich dried fruit, chocolate and citrus with the distillery’s signature peat smoke at 47.8% without chill-filtration.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Fragrant with apricot, plump raisins, orange marmalade, zesty lemon rind, roasted nuts and dried herbs, wrapped in gentle peat.Palate: Oily and full – apricot, raisins, dark chocolate, honey, cinnamon and balanced smoke with creamy texture.Finish: Long and warm with lingering dried fruit, chocolate, smoked applewood and chewy peat.
