Description

This is a single cask whisky distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2015 (around 30 years old) at 55.6% ABV, non-chill-filtered. It displays a classic aged Ben Nevis profile with concentrated complexity, sherry-influenced dried fruits and spices layered over the distillery’s signature fruit and mineral character.

Tasting NotesNosing: Rich woody and sherry character with old furniture, cigar box, cinnamon, ginger, Christmas cake, candied fruits, raisins, coffee and subtle mineral notes – deep and seductive.Palate: Full-bodied and oily with coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruits, nuts, toffee, burnt jam and mineral tones; supple tannins, sweet yet drying, powerful yet balanced.Finish: Medium to long with lingering dark chocolate, oak, minerals, mint and light smokiness; clean, persistent and gracefully warming.
