Distillery History:Bowmore was founded in 1779 on Islay and is one of the oldest distilleries on the island. Known for its medium-peated, balanced style, the 18 Year Old is a core aged expression.

Whisky Introduction:The Bowmore 18 Year Old is matured primarily in ex-bourbon casks with some sherry influence. At 43% ABV without chill-filtration, it delivers smoked citrus, tropical fruit and gentle oak sweetness – an elegant Islay single malt.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Elegant smoke with smoked citrus, tropical fruit, sea salt and gentle oak.Palate: Smooth and oily – smoky citrus, tropical fruit, honey, gentle oak and maritime salt.Finish: Long and dry with lingering smoke, sea salt, citrus and gentle sweetness.
