Nose
Fine and elegant, the nose combines fruity fragrances (redcurrants, raspberries) with notes of brioche and violet.
Palate
A juicy and fruity attack gives way to a palate with fine, coated tannins. Fresh, balanced and silky, the palate reveals subtle chocolate aromas. The finish is seductive

Château d'Armailhac traces its origins to the 14th century as part of the Seigneurie de Mouton in Pauillac. It became an independent estate in 1660 under the d’Armailhacq family, who gave it its name. Classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, the property was acquired by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in 1933. After several name changes, including Mouton-Baron Philippe, it reverted to Château d'Armailhac in 1989 under Baroness Philippine de Rothschild. Today, her children—Camille, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild—uphold the family's legacy of innovation and excellence in producing wines from this exceptional terroir.
The 2006 Château d'Armailhac is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot.Nosing: Powerful and subtle, with ripe red berries, tobacco, sage, mocha, coffee, pepper, fresh herbs, forest floor, and integrated oak notes of toast and vanilla.Palate: Medium-bodied, silky and refined, featuring cassis, currant, plummy dark fruits, with a touch of rusticity and herbal accents.Finish: Crisp with red fruits, cedar, herbs, and dusty tannins, offering good length and maturity.
