Château Clerc Milon 2019 - 750ml

Château Clerc Milon is a 5th Growth (Cinquième Cru Classé) in Pauillac, Bordeaux, classified in 1855. Originally acquired by the Clerc family after the French Revolution, it passed through various owners until purchased in 1970 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Located near Mouton Rothschild on the Mousset plateau, the estate has benefited from major investments, including a modern winery completed in 2011. Today it produces classic Pauillac wines dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, known for elegance and structure.

Whisky Introduction:The 2019 Château Clerc Milon features one of the highest Cabernet Sauvignon proportions in recent history at 72%, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Matured in French oak (50% new barrels), it showcases Pauillac power with refined black fruits, floral notes and polished tannins – a standout vintage with excellent ageing potential from the Rothschild portfolio.

Tasting Notes:Aroma: Elegant with violets, wild berries, blackcurrant, licorice, cigar wrapper and loamy soil.Palate: Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional – black cherry, cassis, toasted oak, spice and silky tannins with vibrant acidity.Finish: Long and refined, with saline mint, chocolate and powdery tannins.
