Château Dalem dates back to 1610, one of Fronsac's oldest estates in Bordeaux, located on the Saillans plateau overlooking the Dordogne Valley. Owned by the same family for three centuries until Michel Rullier acquired it in 1955 and modernized it. His daughter Brigitte Rullier-Loussert took over in 2002, with her son Charles Pouvreau joining in 2018. The estate focuses on traditional terroir, Merlot-dominant on clay-limestone soils for rich structure; the family also owns Château de la Huste, producing elegant Right Bank Bordeaux.
Nosing: Sweet berries, plums, black cherry, petals, with mineral, vegetal, anise, vanilla and spices, framed by subtle new oak.Palate: Medium-bodied and lively, gentle red fruit permeates with mouthwatering acidity and rich structure, balanced tannins.Finish: Clean and long, lingering berry and mineral notes.
