Dancing Sands Sun-Kissed Gin - 70cl/37.5%

Distillery History:
Dancing Sands is a family distillery in Golden Bay, using the very clear Dancing Sands spring. Small batches, real ingredients, no synthetic flavour. The core Dry Gin is distilled with eight botanicals (including mānuka, cardamom, coriander and peppercorn), then stretched into lines such as Sauvignon Blanc Gin and this Sun-Kissed. Built for summer drinking and spritzes, not a heavy London Dry.

Gin Introduction:
Sun-Kissed starts from the award-winning Dry Gin; fresh strawberries and local rhubarb are candied and infused. Colour is naturally pink; the distillery warns real fruit will fade and throw sediment. At 37.5% it is meant neat or with soda or kombucha. Versus the vacuum-distilled Sauvignon Blanc Gin, this is a sweet-tart berry-and-rhubarb infusion. Gluten-free and vegan. Silver medals at New Zealand Spirits Awards and SIP.

Tasting Notes:
Nosing: Sweet strawberry, candied rhubarb and juniper.
Palate: Red berries, soft spice and light sweetness.
Finish: Gently sweet, with a citrus edge.
