Producer History:Drappier is a family-owned Champagne house in Urville with roots dating back to the 12th century. Michel Drappier leads the estate, known for low-dosage Champagnes and high Pinot Noir plantings. The Réserve de l'Oenothèque is a prestige library series with extended lees ageing.
Wine Introduction:The Drappier Réserve de l'Oenothèque Brut 2004 is a blend of 71% Pinot Noir and 29% Chardonnay with over 17 years on lees. Low dosage (4g/L) highlights purity and terroir. It offers mature complexity while retaining freshness and elegance.
Tasting Notes:Aroma: Toasted brioche, citrus peel, dried fruits, honey and subtle mineral smokiness.Palate: Full-bodied with white peach, toasted almonds, spice, citrus and fine bubbles.Finish: Long and refined with lingering toasted nuts, citrus and minerality.
