Edradour 2015 10YO PX 200th Anniversary - 70cl/46%

Distillery History:
Edradour was founded in 1825 in Pitlochry and was long known as one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries. Since Andrew Symington of Signatory Vintage acquired it in 2002, it has become famous for sherry and wine-cask programmes, alongside unpeated Edradour and peated Ballechin. Small pot stills give an oily, fruit-forward Highland style that takes sweet sherry wood especially well.

Whisky Introduction:
Released for the distillery’s 200th anniversary (1825–2025), this small-batch malt was distilled in June 2015 and bottled in September 2025 after a full ten years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks—not a short finish. PX’s sticky dried fruit and treacle meet Edradour’s oily spirit in a young but deep sherry bomb. Bottled at 46%, un-chill filtered and naturally coloured, it is the most approachable heavily sherried bottling in the anniversary range.

Tasting Notes:
Nosing: Raisins, figs, treacle and honey, with dark chocolate, spice and polished oak.
Palate: Full and luscious—dates, fruitcake, toffee and cocoa, with warming spice.
Finish: Long and rich, with lingering PX sweetness, dried fruit and elegant oak.
