GINPLZ Mediterranean Gin - 50cl/43%

Distillery History:
GINPLZ is a new Portuguese gin brand from the south, launched in October 2025 at Bar Convent Berlin. The base is rice neutral spirit, distilled in small batches in traditional copper pots. The brief is Mediterranean citrus and coastal herbs, not classic London Dry spice. It took a contemporary-style country win at the 2026 World Gin Awards.

Gin Introduction:
Bottled at 43%. Juniper is the spine, with lemon and orange peel, bitter orange, orange blossom, olive leaf, rosemary, clove and cardamom. Olive leaf and rosemary bring coastal scrub. The rice spirit is silky and lightly sweet, so the citrus stays clear. Versus Spanish Akori’s dragon fruit and kumquat, this is more Mediterranean peel and herb. Built for shaken or stirred cocktails.

Tasting Notes:
Nosing: Ginger and citrus, juniper, a thread of orange blossom.
Palate: Clear citrus, rosemary and olive leaf.
Finish: Myrtle or herb, with clove and cardamom.
