Distillery History:GlenAllachie was founded in 1967 in Speyside. Acquired in 2017 by a consortium led by Master Distiller Billy Walker, it focuses on premium cask selection and innovation. All releases are non-chill filtered and natural colour, showcasing the distillery’s fruity Speyside character enhanced by exceptional wood management.

Whisky Introduction:The GlenAllachie 2012 Vintage Cuvée Wine Cask Finish is a unique expression from the Wine Series. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, it received a 20-month secondary maturation in a marriage of four premium European red wine barriques. Bottled at 48% without chill-filtration, it delivers vibrant red fruits, floral notes and spice layered over GlenAllachie’s classic fruitiness.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Bursting with orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries and honeysuckle, plus candied stone fruits, hazelnuts, lavender and cinnamon.Palate: Medium to full-bodied – waves of redcurrants, blackberries, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, almonds, orange zest and ginger spice.Finish: Long and warm with lingering red fruit, chocolate, spice and gentle tannins.
