Distillery History:GlenDronach was founded in 1826 in the Scottish Highlands and is renowned for its richly sherried single malts. Now owned by Brown-Forman, with Master Blender Rachel Barrie overseeing the range, the distillery continues its tradition of maturation in Spanish Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.

Whisky Introduction:The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Sherry Cask Matured is the core expression under Rachel Barrie’s tenure. Matured for 15 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% without chill-filtration, it delivers intense dark cherry, fig, dark chocolate and honey notes – a refined classic of the distillery’s signature sherried style.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Rich sherry with maraschino cherry, ripe bramble, dark chocolate mint, orange bitters and walnut liqueur.Palate: Full and rounded – honey-glazed apricot, ripe fig, black cherry, muscovado and fine spice.Finish: Long and enveloping with dark manuka honey, herbal bitters and dark chocolate.
