Distillery History:Glengoyne was founded in 1833 in the Highlands and is famous for using Scotland’s slowest stills and unpeated spirit. The PX Cask Edition series highlights maturation in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Whisky Introduction:The Glengoyne 12 Year Old PX Cask Edition Batch 3 is matured exclusively in first-fill PX sherry casks and bottled at 42.8% natural strength. It delivers intense sweetness and complexity from the rich PX influence while retaining Glengoyne’s signature soft, malty character.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Rich and sweet with raisins, figs, dark chocolate, coffee beans, treacle and gentle vanilla.Palate: Full and rounded – stewed black fruits, dark chocolate, toasted almonds, toffee and oak spice.Finish: Long, warm and lingering with dark dried fruits, chocolate, coffee and gentle spice.
