Brand history:Grand Old Parr was launched in 1909 by the Greenlees Brothers and named after Thomas Parr, the legendary Englishman said to have lived to 152. The brand passed through Macdonald Greenlees, joined Distillers Company in 1925, and is now owned by Diageo. Key malt comes from distilleries such as Cragganmore; it is strongest in export markets and keeps the early dimpled bottle design.

Whisky notes:This is the official Grand Old Parr 12 Year Old blended Scotch whisky at 40%. It combines single malts and grain whiskies from several distilleries, with Cragganmore as an important malt component. Cask types are not disclosed, but the profile shows sherry and oak influence.
