Distillery History:Hakushu Distillery was founded by Suntory in 1973 at the foot of the Southern Alps in Yamanashi. Known for its pure water and forest surroundings, it produces lightly peated, herbal and fresh single malt whiskies. The Story of the Distillery series highlights the land and nature each year.

Whisky Introduction:The Hakushu Story of the Distillery 2026 Edition is a limited NAS release at 43% ABV, primarily using smoky-type Hakushu malt matured in bourbon barrels. It expresses the rich natural environment of the distillery with bright citrus, roasted tea and gentle smoke.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Bright citrus of pineapple and apple with vanilla cream and roasted green tea.Palate: Light and soft – wasanbon sugar-like sweetness, fruity notes and delicate bitterness.Finish: Ember smoke with a lingering pleasant bitterness.
