Description

Kilchoman Distillery, founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills, is Islay's first new distillery in 124 years. Situated on Rockside Farm, it uniquely grows, malts, distills, matures, and bottles its whisky on-site, using traditional floor malting and heavily peated barley for bold, smoky flavors. Emphasizing farm-to-bottle craftsmanship, it has earned global acclaim for innovative yet heritage-driven single malts.

The 2025 Machir Bay Cask Strength is a limited edition at 58.1% ABV, vatted from 90% bourbon barrels and 10% sherry casks. It amplifies the core Machir Bay's peaty, citrusy essence with undiluted intensity, highlighting Islay's maritime character.


Nosing: Zesty citrus like dried lemon, fresh green apples, pears, grassy peat smoke, bourbon vanilla, and toasted oak.Palate: Full-bodied and warming, with creamy malt sweetness, maritime peat, candied citrus, toffee, dried fruits, warming pepper, and subtle spice.Finish: Long and lingering, with luscious wood smoke, pineapple, pear, sweet cinnamon spices, and earthy notes.
