Maison Marchand-Tawse was established in the early 2010s through the partnership of Quebec-born Pascal Marchand and Toronto-based Moray Tawse. Pascal gained extensive Burgundy experience as winemaker at estates like Comte Armand. The house operates as a micro-négociant, focusing on organic and biodynamic practices to achieve pure terroir expression. Négociant wines are labeled Marchand-Tawse, while estate wines fall under Domaine Tawse.

Maison Marchand-Tawse Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Longecourts 2021 is a village-level red from Pinot Noir in the classic Côte de Nuits climat Les Longecourts (below Les Saint-Georges). The 2021 vintage offers fresh elegance, aged in old oak, bottled unfiltered and unfined, with about 25% whole bunches. It displays strong minerality and refined tannins in a precise, tense style.

Tasting Notes

Nosing: Redcurrants, cherries and earthy wild notes, with subtle reduction and floral lift—elegant and layered.

Palate: Medium-bodied with vibrant entry, intense mineral drive, concentrated floral intensity, fine tannins and crisp acidity; silky texture with chalky touch.

Finish: Long, clean and persistent with mineral and red fruit echoes; well-balanced structure with good aging potential. A refined and pure Nuits-Saint-Georges suited for cellaring.
