Malfy Gin Con Arancia Blood Orange Gin - 70cl/41%

Distillery History:
Malfy is made by the Vergnano family’s Torino Distillati in Piedmont; the name nods to the Amalfi Coast’s light and citrus. The range splits by Italian fruit: original, lemon, pink grapefruit and this blood orange. Distilled at Moncalieri, it leans Mediterranean juniper and water—built for easy, recognisable drinks rather than a spicy London Dry frame.

Gin Introduction:
Con Arancia means “with orange.” Sicilian blood oranges are picked in November; cool nights colour the peel deep red. Peels are steeped in spirit, basket-pressed, then distilled about five hours with juniper and roughly six botanicals (coriander, angelica, cassia among them) in a stainless vacuum still, cut with spring water to 41%. The liquid is ruby. A flavoured gin: blood orange leads, juniper sits behind. Made for tonic or a spritz, not classic London Dry.

Tasting Notes:
Nosing: Orange blossom and bittersweet blood orange, juniper behind.
Palate: Rounded and lightly sweet—citrus peel, a hint of cassia, clean body.
Finish: Medium-long, bittersweet orange.
