Distillery History:Oban Distillery was founded in 1794 by the Stevenson brothers in the coastal town of Oban on Scotland’s west coast. One of the oldest working distilleries, its tight location limits capacity. Owned by Diageo, it represents the West Highlands in the Classic Malts range, offering a style that bridges Highland fruitiness with subtle coastal smoke.

Whisky Introduction:Oban 14 Year Old is the flagship core expression, bottled at 43%. Matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks with some sherry influence, it balances ripe fruit, honeyed sweetness and light maritime smoke. Elegant and approachable, it is a classic expression of West Highland character and a long-standing favourite in Diageo’s Classic Malts.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Citrus, pear, honey with sea salt and light smoke.Palate: Soft and sweet with dried figs, orange, honey, a touch of salt and gentle peat.Finish: Medium-long with oak, sweetness and delicate smoke.
