Distillery History:
Tann’s was launched in 1977 by Destilerías Campeny at El Masnou near Barcelona; the recipe was later recast for modern palates. The base is now 100% grain neutral spirit with ten botanicals triple-infused. A Spanish-made gin on a London Dry frame, with a Mediterranean floral-citrus accent. Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Built as a mixing gin, not a terroir-distillery story.
Gin Introduction:
Botanicals: juniper, coriander, cucumber, rose petal, cardamom, mandarin peel, orange blossom, lemon peel, liquorice and raspberry. Triple infusion then distillation, classed as London Dry: juniper at the core, flower, cucumber and citrus around it. Crystal clear. More perfumed than a stark juniper dry gin, lightly bitter, long finish. For gin and tonic or a martini—not oak-aged or a limited single cask.
Tasting Notes:
Nosing: Juniper, coriander and citrus, rose and cucumber.
Palate: Dry and fresh—bitter citrus, floral notes and liquorice.
Finish: Long, closing on juniper.
