Distillery History:Yamazaki Distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, is Japan’s first malt whisky distillery. Located at the foot of Mt. Tenno with pure water sources, it is renowned for diverse cask maturation and elegant fruit and Mizunara oak character. The Story of the Distillery series explores the land and craft each year.

Whisky Introduction:The Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2026 Edition is a limited NAS release at 43% ABV, themed around “Why the land of Yamazaki is the ideal birthplace for whisky making.” Blended from Mizunara, Spanish oak and American white oak whiskies, it highlights classic Yamazaki dried fruit, sweetness and subtle smoke.

Tasting Notes:Nosing: Rich sweetness of dried persimmon, cloves, delicate vanilla and chocolate.Palate: Full-bodied and complex – dried fruit, orange marmalade and sweet red bean paste.Finish: Smoky and spicy with lingering chocolate undertones.
